10 inch 78 rpm
Since this ain't no museum, my aim is not to depict actually existing specimen of 78 rpm records,
but to show the labels as pristine as workmanlike possible

even if this - in some cases - takes a whole lot of my time to photoshop process the initial data

rec. February 21, 1928 in Atlanta, GA; Palmer McAbee, hca solo, effects

"It is not certain whether the artist is white or black. He certainly sounds black, but the Victor session sheet carries the description '(Hillbilly)'." (Dixon & Godrich 1982 ("B&GR"))

"Although the Victor session sheet carries the description '(Hillbilly)', the consensus has been that this is an African-American artist. However this is not certain." (Dixon, Godrich & Rye 1997 ("B&GR"))

"This artist is speculatively included in B&GR, but the recordings are described on the Victor session-sheet as 'Hillbilly'." (Russell 2004)

Later made out census records and his WWI draft registration certificate confirmed him as "white"!
