Twist Turner on the name change from "Lankchan" to "Linkchain":
"For some reason Frank [Bandy] changed Hip's name to Linkchain. Up until Frank took over it had been Lankchan on all the records he had made and all the gigs we had done. I even have a Sanns Records promo photo from 1969 that he gave me that says Lankchan, as do the Lola and Sanns 45's he recorded. Even after he died when his wife Lily who he had been separated from for years called me and said 'I'm Mrs. Lankchan', not Linkchain. Hip couldn't read or write so I don't think he knew the difference or noticed it was spelled different."
