"The names on the album were invented [by Frank Scott and Bruce Bromberg] because Joe Bihari would not issue an album with "unknown artist" listed on it." "Joe Bihari was so certain that [Leroy] Simpson were John Lee Hooker, that Hooker's name appears on the front cover [...]. The reissue team prevailed in at least giving a fictional name to the artist in the track listing on the back cover." (from Jim O'Neal's notes to Ace CD 2310)
